In 1985, a twelve-year-old could patch a bike tire, start a fire, and navigate home by the sun. Most adults today can't do any of those things.
That's not nostalgia. That's a gap — and it keeps getting wider.
Schools cut shop class. Parents got busy. Screens filled the space. A generation of kids is growing up without the basic skills that used to come standard.
"A kid who can change a tire is never stranded.
A kid who can start a fire is never cold."
Real skills. The kind that work without a signal and last longer than a software update. We're still shaping the full curriculum based on what the community tells us — take the survey and help us decide.
Three formats. Pick what works for your family. No single right answer — just show up and learn something.
Show up after school, work on something real, go home having built or fixed something with your own hands.
Deep-dive sessions. A morning spent on one skill, start to finish. No rushing. No bell to beat.
Five days. Multiple skills. The kind of week kids actually talk about when school starts back up.
Before we open the doors, we want to hear from parents, coaches, teachers, and community members. What did you never learn that you wish you had? What do you want your kids to know before they leave home?
